Background

Get your caffeine and trail running hit with this awesome afternoon event in the Chiltern Hills and Ashridge Forest (as featured in Trail Running Magazine)! This is a unique opportunity not only to learn about trail running and check out some hidden trails, but also learn some of the secrets of coffee roasting from the expert roasters and baristas at the Musette Cafe. You'll experience an exclusive coffee cupping session (coffee tasting), an introduction to roasting as well as a blind tasting coffee quiz all hosted in the picture perfect village of Aldbury, famous for its filming location.

All our guides are local English Athletics qualified Run Leaders, and when not running can be seen sipping coffee at the Musette Cafe in Aldbury. It's also has pretty amazing cake (which will be available if the guides haven't eaten it all!). It's an easily accessible event, just 40 minutes North West of London by rail or road. All abilities are catered for, so whether you are a new to trail running, just looking to get some miles in an inspiring location, or smash out trails like a pro, you're in good hands. We will guide you on a beautiful 10km route and then head to the Musette Cafe for a coffee tasting experience. As with all Run the Wild events, it's a team event so you will be grouped with similar ability runners and led by one of our experienced Run Leaders who will route find and set the pace for you. We walk anything too steep and it's a good opportunity to get some trail running tips from our leaders along the way. This is a great event for you to run in the beautiful Chilterns, meet the RtW team, make new running friends and also have a lot of fun learning about coffee!

Spaces are limited to just 15 entrants so sign up quick!!

Reviews

"Super enjoyable way to see nature and get a caffeine fix!" Hanna, April 2019

"Just to say thank you to you, Karin, Mark and Andy for a really enjoyable afternoon yesterday. It was great to run somewhere new, and it was a fun route. The logistics for meeting up etc were all very straight-forward and it was great to end at the cafe and combine re-fuelling with the coffee tasting." Danielle, April 2019
