Background
Run the Wild prides itself for being inclusive to all runners. Over the years we have met hundreds of runners of assorted ages, gender, size, and of course ability. We love sharing our passion for running, and watching others discover its benefits for the body and mind and also the freedom it offers. Our reward comes from watching runners catch the trail running bug, and achieving goals they didn't think possible either because of concerns about ability or confidence. We offer a safe and supporting environment for women to step into exercise and feel great, and because we have found that sometimes women can feel shy and nervous about joining new running clubs, we felt it important to launch our first women’s only run in 2019. Due to its success and popularity we continue to offer regular women's only trail runs, great for regular runners and also those who are new to trails. Each event will follow a different route, providing new running adventures for those who have already taken part previously. So, join us for a ladies only 8km guided run through the beautiful woods and open ridgelines of the Chiltern Hills! Along the way you will learn trail running techniques and explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, famous for its use in filming locations.
As with all Run the Wild events, it's a team event so you will be grouped with similar ability runners and led by one of our experienced Run Leaders. We walk anything too steep and it's a good opportunity to get some trail running tips from our leaders along the way.
We start each run at beautiful country estate of Ashirdge House. All our female guides are all experienced run leaders who not only route find and set the pace, but will also enlighten you on the surrounding area. There is an onsite cafe at the end, a great way to finish the run.
We have safe COVID-19 working practices in place which ensure social distancing and maximum numbers are relevant to current government guidelines. Your safety and enjoyment are our priority.
