BACKGROUND

Join us this October, for a stunning coastal trail run from Lizard Point, Great Britain's most southerly point. This one day ticket allows you to take part in our Cornish Coastal Adventure weekend with a guided run from Lizard's Point to Porthleven. It's a stunning route along the coastal path. Along the way you will find out about the local area and also learn trail techniques from our qualified guides. There will also be a refreshment stop around halfway featuring local produce as well as a mini cream tea!

All abilities are catered for but you need to be able to run around half marathon distance, so whether you are a new to trail running, just looking to get some miles in an inspiring location, or smash out trails like a pro, you're in good hands. As with all Run the Wild events, it's a team event so you will be grouped with similar ability runners and led by one of our experienced Run Leaders who will route find and set the pace for you. We walk anything too steep and it's a good opportunity to get some trail running tips from our leaders along the way. At the end of the run there will be transport available back to Lizard's Point.

ACCOMMODATION & TRANSPORT

You will need to arrange your own transport to the start of the adventure at Lizard's Point, where there is a National Trust car park. If you choose to pay for the £40 ticket, transport from the end of the run back to the start will be included.

ABILITY

We will group participants by their ability but you need to be able to run a half marathon distance. It's a great event for those new to trail running as well as veterans! You will be expected to carry the essential kit from our UK KIT LIST but this will be a pretty light bag allowing you to run freely. The Lead Runner will route find and as all with our expeditions you will be expected to run as part of the team.

TIMING & LOCATION

We will be meeting at Lizard's Point car park for the start of the trail run at 9.30am. If you choose to pay for the £40 ticket, transport from the end of the run back to the start will be included. The run usually takes around 4 hours including the refreshment stop halfway. The run will finish near to Porthleven (full details in your joining instructions).
